Tara is the OMP Hot Model of the Week!

Tara (OMP Model #383649) is a popular model from Michigan who has promoted leather, lace, and soft drinks! Now she is OMP's Hot Model of the Week, a title which will hopefully keep her warm through the snowy winters up north.

"Shorties" Compete to Be "America's Next Top Model"

"America's Next Top Model" Cycle 13 will debut with a two-hour season premiere on Sept. 9 on The CW. All of the 14 contenders for the crown will make history on the show, because they do not meet the usual height requirement for top fashion models (5'9" and taller). Tyra Banks' latest crop of models are all 5′7″ or less, and will do what they can to represent the "shorties" in the industry.

Michael Slezak of www.ew.com has chosen his three favorites and made the following comments:

Kara: (left in photo above) Every cycle needs a megabeast who’s good at stirring up s*** in the Top Model house, and Kara (left) is serving serious contempt with that facial expression in her initial ANTM shoot. Can gossiping, backstabbing, and screaming tirades be far behind? I sure hope not!

Lisa (center): Look! Girlfriend possesses “wind in her hair,” and we all know from the first 12 cycles of ANTM that you can’t teach that difficult and all-important skill set. (Also, Lisa’s really pretty, and she’s from Queens, just like my good friend Ugly Betty!)

Jennifer (right): Has already mastered the art of smiling with her eyes, and seeing how she’s 23 years of age, she could fill that vital role of the contestant who gives the judges a chance to play that timeless game of coming up with euphemisms for “too old for the modeling business.”

Paulina is NOT America's Next Top Judge!

Janice Dickinson, Twiggy, and now Paulina... They are NOT still in the running to be a guest judge on future seasons of "America's Next Top Model."

Iconic supermodel Paulina Porizkova announced on the "Late, Late Show with Crag Ferguson" that she was fired recently -- on her birthday, no less -- from the popular model search show.

"Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles? Because I am looking for a job. Because I was fired by America's Next Top Model on my birthday. The reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed, that America's Next Top Model has gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me. So I figured it was either that, or my gigantic huge ego. Which I wasn't aware of until I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem."

"Top Model," hosted by Tyra Banks, is currently wrapping up its 12th cycle.

NY Models - Still in the "Running" for "Top Model" After Stampede?

UPDATE FROM ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks announced in a statement that she and the show's producers are "doing everything we can" to audition "ALL the girls" who were turned away Saturday after the show's New York City auditions ended in a melee that caused injuries and three arrests. "It is so important to me to...make sure that everyone gets a fair chance to pursue their dream," said Banks in the statement. The 13th cycle of the series is the first time women 5' 7" and shorter have been allowed to audition for the show.

HERE'S THE STORY... It is not clear what caused the stamped at the recent NYC auditions for "America's Next Top Model." We may never know the reason, but several people seem to have their own theories...

For those of you who did not hear about it, the top-rated show got a bit of bad press the other day when a crowd of 10,000 hopefuls waiting outside the Park Central hotel crushed together in a panic, sending two young models to the hospital and even more home with injuries. The unique thing about this season of ANTM is that the focus this year is on shorter models who are under 5'7" instead of the normal 5'9" and up runway models.

Some witnesses say the chaos started when a car that was overheating passed the line of models, prompting one girl to call out "There's a bomb!" and sending everyone running. Other reports say that someone screamed "Fire!" Then there is the version where a fight began between the contestants and two men were stealing models' purses.

Host Tyra Banks released a joint statement with executive producer Ken Moke, saying: “We are concerned by the events that occurred Saturday afternoon in the vicinity of the New York City casting call for the next cycle of 'America's Next Top Model. At this time, we still don't know all the details of what happened or what triggered the incident. We appreciate the efforts of the NYPD and will assist them in any way possible in this matter."

After the fracas, three people were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and inciting a riot. The casting call was shut down by the police.
