Were You at the 7-Hour In the Click?

In the Click -- One Model Place's social networking event for models, photographers, and the artistic community -- had its longest-running meeting on Friday, Jan. 11. The Click started at 6pm and ended after 1am! Over 80 attendees enjoyed the meet and greet along with sexy photo shoots and a sumptuous dinner of ham, salad, appetizerss, and even asparagus! Epson offered not only free color prints from its amazing printers, but a $400 prize package to one lucky raffle winner. Get In the Click with OMP in Chicago!

One Model Place , the world's largest model and talent social networking community, is sponsoring an "In the Click" to ring in the New Year. This free event will take place from 6-9pm on Jan. 11, 2008 at Alexis Studios, 1900 N. Austin Blvd., Chicago, IL 60639.

In the Click is a meet-and-greet for OMP models and members, with portfolio reviews, photo shoots, and product demonstrations. Representatives from IT Supplies, the Midwest's Largest Epson dealer will also attend and provide displays of their newest equipment, provide "Show Special" pricing, giveaways, impromptu talks on techniques and methods that will take your images to the next level, and provide a fantastic door prize to one very lucky attendee!

Hosting the meeting is Wayne Toberman of Alexis Studios (OMP Member # 165345). Also in attendance will be OMP’s resident funnyman Phill Flash (OMP Model # 191058), who will be on hand to answer your questions about the website, pass out giveaways of his own, and capture all the fun on video.

The gathering is free for all OMP members and their guests. People under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Up Close and Personal with Maxim's New Hometown Hottie

Brunette beauty Erin McKinnon OMP Model #304174 , who recently was crowned Maxim Magazine's "Hometown Hottie" winner, almost didn't enter the competition. "I was getting ready for the Miss Florida USA pageant, so I didn't publicize the Maxim contest at all. I actually tried to drop out of the competition when I was in the top 100 because it was stirring up a lot of commotion with the 'Pageant People.' Luckily for me, Icehouse was sponsoring the contest and because of that sponsorship I wasn't able to drop out. Not to mention the fact that everything had already gone to print."

Erin readily admits that no one was more surprised than her when she won the competition. "I flew up to NYC to do some press for the finalists. I just thought I was the only girl that was able to go to NYC at the time. I walked in for my interview and everyone screamed, 'Congratulations!' I was floored and thought the whole thing was a big joke. I kept thinking that this should be happening to someone else."

She had a great time at the party that Icehouse and Maxim threw for all of the finalists in South Beach. "That was the first time I had ever been out in South Beach, and it was amazing. I also met a lot of people at the event – I don't think I can ever attend a party without networking. There are some pictures on the Maxim photo blog that basically describe it all. The cool part of the night is when they introduced us at the club. I think that was the first time it really hit me that I had won."
